You must been off the road for a long time cause 50% trucks out there are Automatics. And if they were made for professionals why are they governed at 62 MPH?? Have babysitter electronics?? Where you been Russ?? Need retraining? Swifty has room in their classes. LOL Come on Man!!
Lux Prometheus Thanks this. -
Shifting manual in trucks is more simple than in the car.
producelove85, GITRDUN45 and Dinomite Thank this. -
Yeah cause a 2k pound car with auto synced transmission is a difficult thing.....come on man.
-
I agree russ. You can float gears and never use the clutch, but to stop and start in a truck. You have to push the clutch to change the gears in a car. I hate manual transmissions in a car. But give me a stick in the big ol truck anyday.
whopperjr Thanks this. -
If your clutching in a car your doing it wrong

I did get an auto issued to me and the company I drove for did a LOT of LA driving, so I have to admit, the auto was great there, but I did miss the 10 speed, until the last company I worked for gave me a 13....I fell in love with it! But all I did was drove from Orem, Utah, to Phoenix, or Rico, AZ. and back, so the 13 was great for those hills.

13 speed works. you will still get good mpg driving 70 mph.
-
13s are great. I drove a Volvo that had one. It was a loaner truck. Begged the company to keep it but sadly no.
