Not to mention: who wants a license that reads: AUTOMATICS ONLY :dontknow::smt075:violent1: (Or however that restriction is added to your actual license)

    Auto is expensive than manual.

Some of you more experienced drivers are very funny especially the ones that can drive manuals but prefer auto's .
Why do you think some of the companies have auto's, Make it easier on the driver - no, cheaper -no, more easy to repair - no, not even more fuel efficient than a experienced operator with a manual.
"ITS SO THEY CAN FILL YOUR SEAT WITH SOMEONE FOR CHEAPER" LOL -- Take a skill out -drop the pay. I would venture to say that one of the big low pay "Mega's" were the first to get auto's --probably swift -does anyone remember which company started using auto's first?

    BWAHAHAHAHAHAH! !!!!!!!

    -gasp-

    BWAHAHAHAHAHAH! !!!!

:wtf: I think you both fell out of your cabs and hit your heads at the bottom of a 1,000 - ft cliff.

ComeON, now!! In older cars, I could start AND launch without the clutch!! In traffic, as long as I was rolling, I would NEVER use the clutch. And they only had 4-5 speeds!! !

Just because you THINK it's "manly" to shift 18 speeds with 6 shifters (and who was the idiot that came up with THAT idea??? Not to mention the stiffer-than-a-horny-rhino clutch), doesn't make it smart or safe.

It's like driving trucks or cars without power steering: ya can't feel squat from the road when you're death-gripping the wheel. Similarly, if you're too busy trying to find a gear in a panic situation, you're too busy to pay enough attention to control the vehicle and avoid a disaster.

And to the dang fool who was "eating, shifting, talking on the phone to his ear": you should be shot for that. You should know better, Mister I-Are-A-Perfessinil-Truck-Driver.:smt021:smt075:smt021:smt075:smt104:smt104:smt104

The number one thing I've noticed in this industry is how insecure drivers are about losing their job.

Can you blame them?At any given time companies will fire you and don't need a reason.

Some of the things companies let drivers go for is ridiculous.KB is a real nit picking company.Ive seen drivers get fired for what a Tyson employee had said and not even talk to the driver about it.Then those very guards either got fired themselves or quit.

Something I've noticed about drivers that get let go, or complain about the DOT or their job.... 99% of the time, it's the driver, not everyone else.

You ever park at a truck stop and watch that guy try and climb outta his rig then hobble across to the truckstop? Yeah he drove a clutch truck for the last 30 years. Can't walk cause his hips are screwed up from clutching and his shoulder is messed up from shifting 800 times a day everyday for the last 30 years.

Yeah I'd rather not be that guy. Yes I know how to drive a manual. Is just rather be able to walk and move when I'm done driving this truck.

    Elroythekid Thanks this.
