Automatic should be used for handicapped people.

I think you have to be an employer to realize just how hard it is to find good employees. .... why would I put up with a troublesome employee when there is a never ending line to take his place??

 

All depends what they got that the driver is capable of.

 

Considering that many companies only use auto trannies, the OP has a valid request.

It's pathetic I agree, but it what the company wants... and it's not just in this industry that it has become the norm, it is our society.

 

Way back in the early 80's the DOT held this pre-service course for new school bus drivers and they brought a brand new bus with them. It was a manual shift and ya should heard the moaning and complaining when they were told they would have to learn to double clutch as well...
