I would avoid the lease purchase idea. You will be taking excessive risk for company driver money at best. Meanwhile, the carrier buys the tractor at near cost and turns around an sells it to you for at least 30 percent markup. They do this multiple times with each truck until it's paid off. Then they turn around and sell the truck again for a final time with title in hand. Most of the lease companies make more on selling trucks than they do on running freight.
Every once in a while there's a driver that finishes a lease. You could be that person but the odds are against you.
Most owner ops deal with a monthly payment, no weekly. The only way I'd consider was if I was using the LP as a stepping stone to being an owner ops, Maybe do it for a year, get a taste of running a truck, then go buy my own. All the best -
