If you ran a chemical tanker and did "hard labor", You must have been doing something wrong. Tanker is the easiest work I have ever did.

That’s not always true. We run multi compartment hazmat tankers. We washout, load and deliver mini bulk class 8 corrosives. I pull a 3 compartment trailer. Washing out 3 compartments and loading can be work

Per week? That’s insane! That’s worse than being L/O where they want $500-$600/wk. I was told they couldn’t run the numbers until I did an application to run my credit to see how much I would pay per week or per month.

Well I exaggerated a bit, I just feel I should have been compensated a little more for the amount of work I was doing. But you’re right it is one of the easiest and less hassling positions I’ve had in the trucking industry. I believe that next to flat bed are the most easy going. You get loaded early, and sometimes you’re the only one there, the same for unloading. So there isn’t much waiting involved, and I like that. I am leaning towards going with a tanker company that does business with mostly just O/O’s.

I didn’t just drag hoses, I had to hook them up and either or load or unload my trailer at times. Depending on how many compartments my trailer had it was a decent amount of work but the pay wasn’t that great.
