I want to start in the trucking business

    Well i am almost 18. And i love trucks since i was 11 years old. Ive played many of those 18 wheels of steel games. But i really want to get my cdl so i can get into a business. I never droven a truck before. I only or barely know anything about them (excluding that i am a big truck fan).

    Anyways, what do i have to prepare? I live in new york.. any recommendations? anything for teens to prepare or something..? thanks guys

    Buy a pistol grip grease gun and go to every yard with trucks in it and see if they are willing to hire you as a shop assistant/trucker's apprentice/yard-man. Work into moving trucks around the yard, and go from there.

    You've got to be 21 for interstate driving, so there's a waiting game to be played.

    Thing is, i cant drive just yet. did not do drivers ed yet either..:biggrin_25513:
