A Greyhound ride is a long nasty trip too. The bus will stop in every single bad neighborhood bus station there is between your starting point and the destination. The bus terminals are always in a horrible neighborhood. If the driver wants to stop in cracktown for a Mc Donalds lunch break, you have to get off the bus. He will lock the bus and go to the bathroom and make phone calls etc etc. It really wouldn't bother me, it's not like I grew up in Beverly Hills but a lot of people would hate this. And you should be prepared for coughing sick people, thieves etc. People that are on TSA's alert notices travel via Greyhound. They cannot go near airports. It may not be a big deal, some people are fine with it, some would consider this a life changing event.

You may want to check up to see if you can grab one of these cheap flights & immediately fly to Springfield MO. Afterwards, submit a copy of the ticket to Prime, perhaps you may get partial or full reimbursement. Either way, you want to make it to Springfield on time, to get on with your new job, training, & a paycheck.
Good luck to you! God bless you and your entire family!

They will put you on a greyhound. I'm trying to see the problem. You better get on that bus, you've been looking for a gig for a little while. It's time to hit the road.and get experience.

Prime is kinda the polar opposite of Schneider.....
Instead of spending just a few days on a trainer's truck (i.e., Schneider -- been there, seen that)....you will instead be out on a trainer's truck for probably at least a month & a half....
...so -- you should learn -- A LOT.
Some suggestions:
- Be sure & pass up on/avoid ALL of their lease-purchase deals/offers. You're there to learn how to drive a big rig -- NOT be a corporate lackey.
- After a year of driving there -- put in a request to switch over to their food-grade tanker fleet -- & learn how to pull a tank trailer (at that point -- you will have earned it).
firemedic2816, Bean Jr., tscottme and 3 others Thank this. -
They were a lot better during Covid, but all of them were.
