Welcome to recruiters. So they didnt offer you a plane or rental. BIG DEAL!!!!! Some companies, depending on where you are coming from, will offer a plane or rental, or just grayhound you. Again, not a big deal. If you think the difference there is a showstopper. You have no clue on what trucking is going to throw at you. Its a minor thing. Take the job or move on to another company.

I'd still go with Prime refrigerated. Probably make a lot more money weekly/monthly.

Prime used to be horrible back in the day in the 90's and 2000's. I hear they have improved over the years.

Prime has a Floral division in Florida.
I don't know anything about that though, just that it's refrigerated.

In my career this is how it went:
Stevens Transport: I live in Texas, so I drove myself.
Southern Refrigerated Transport: Greyhound from Corpus Christi to Texarkana.
A&A Express: Flew me from Chattanooga, TN to Brandon, SD.
Vista Trans Holdings: Flew me from Brandon, SD to Lake In The Hills, IL.

It all depends on the company.

Soooooo....Prime has a fleet that is "flower powered"?

    Gosh....that sounds so incredibly macho.

    :p :D

    1)
Whatever trucking company you decide to go with, you may want to sign up with a bank or credit union for direct deposit, it's both convenient & safe. The payroll department or human resources at the trucking company should be able to help you with this.
    2) Whatever bank or credit union that you decide on, please be sure that your account does not charge any monthly fees or service charges.
    3) Also, the bank or credit union that you choose for direct deposit may have their own credit card, whether it be a MasterCard or VISA credit card, worth looking into.

Good luck to you & your entire family!

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

I remember when I went with Holland in North Dakota. They offered to reimburse me for any travel expense to get to Fargo. I took the train from Sacramento to Fargo. Had a great time. Had never ridden on a train in the USA and I enjoyed it.

Stevens was like that. If you paid for your own way, they reimbursed you your expenses if you provided them all of your receipts.
