So, just how is hitting a parked vehicle (chassis) not hitting a parked vehicle?

 

What would you say would be your answer if you owned a trailer that was parked in a spot and you came back and found someone hit it and or did a hit and run? Would you just ignore it because your truck wasn’t hooked to it at the time and give the person who hit it a pass?

What details are you leaving out? 25 yrs of hauling intermodal, I've hit and tapped parked chassis a few times. Was this on a ramp? At the port, At a depot? On the street? Need more information.

 

I know these aren't containers, but was the scraping more like the first or second pic? I could see getting written up for the first and if there were no other problems, not likely to get fired over. Was there a conversation with someone right after the incident? There's gotta be more to this.
