Since the courts have ruled that a sleeper berth, just like an RV, is not considered a home it is not subject to the protections put forth in the 4th amendment. So yes, if you choose to drive commercially on US highways, you are subject to search without a warrant.

Those rights are not the same as your house, however, no one can search your car, motorcycle, RV, or CMV without reasonable suspension that you are committing a crime. there is zero precedence that excludes a CMV from the 4th amendmentBlue jeans, kuzima93, Another Canadian driver and 3 others Thank this. -
