    Help?
    I am a woman.
Should I get out of this now? Before I even invest any more time in to this?(Med done. Hoping to pass CLP at the DMV Tuesday... HOPING. - After 1 week studying - minus a two day late start. (The CRE recruiter seemed to believe that I could do it. - I have no Large truck experience. Only extensive OTR Cross country automobile. No family history or support either. Cold Start. - They asked me how long my medical card was good for. I told them 2 Years. The recruiter seemed very happy with that. - Was that because it may take me that long to even pass the CLP? Not to mention the actual CDL Written and Pretrip Inspection and Road Test.)
What is "Phase 2" training anyway?
And. Are all students 2 to one trainer - 3 in a truck? and. For how long?
I was told we would drive 1 month with a trainer and 6 months with a partner.
After that I believe we still need a partner.
That was a spanking NEW CRE truck. What do the conditions of the trucks realistically look like when not promoting this company's recruitment?
I need to spend a year in one - 99.8 percent of my life- for a year in one. Is it really like a sentence to the gulag?
see : Prisoners Faced Numerous Severe Conditions in the gulag

    Help?

I really wanted to make this career work. I had nothing but good experiences in my OTR long distance travels cross country.

Can I make this work? I AM made of strong stuff, regardless of how this post makes me sound.
I have survived through much and I believe Jesus got me through despite my doubts.
Thanks in advance for any advice or encouragement you can provide.

    @Gamgee - no, don't quit now.
Any trucker that says you should quit, should also ask himself/herself why don't they take their own advice.
Don't believe all the negativity; if all that were true, there wouldn't be any trucks on the road.

@Gamgee I wouldn't quit if it's something you want to do. Would I go with cre... probably not. I have no experience with them but the only good things I have ever heard about them was it was a good place to get your start and that was from guys like 10 years ago. There are a ton of options out out there and @Chinatown is the hook up for all of them.

@Chinatown Thank you so very much. You have no idea how much I want this. I done wanna share much but. God really has provided. I moved from IL to WA State and spent two years there. Loved it. Went with challenged daughter who was trying to get her BA in Japanese. We knew no one. They welcomed us in. It WAS very challenging. Faced fears. "Dangers" etc. Took Boxing as self defense. Loved it. Instructor is a friend for life. Others on the road. If not friends for life - just people you will never forget and always hope and pray for.
Thanks again for your words of encouragement @Chinatown.
Gonna get back to studying now. Dig my heels in.

Thanks @FlaSwampRat for your encouragement to stick with this as it is something I do want to see realized. SO very much. P.S. Is that you on the Mountain bike in your avatar? If so. When do you find time to ride. I love long distance bike riding. I hope I don't get out of shape stuck in the truck. :( Best exercise ever. Not an exercise. A Joy. :)

I race BMX a few times a week. One of the perks to living in Florida, all year racing and tracks everywhere. I'm a local delivery driver (coca cola) so I'm home everyday.

Awesome. :) @FlaSwampRat You will live forever. :) I am in great fitness now. - Bike long distance like it is a breeze. - But check back with me after I am stuck in a truck long distance for a year OTR. What can I do to stay fit during this time? Jog around the truck stop fast food restaurant? ... But seriously. How do I squeeze in physical fitness?
Gamgee - wants to get over those mountains. There and Back Again.

Many truck stops have fitness centers from what I understand. I’m in the same boat, I’m a body builder and going in to trucking. Keeping my local gym account open for when I’m home.. but in the road will be hard.
