You were on private property
You are allowed to do whatever on private property, DOT monitors highways that are beneficiaries of government money(local, state, or federal)
I went over my 11 last night by 8 minutes.

Just called the DOT and advised them of your location and are currently on their way.
Your license will be stripped and you will be beaten with a rubber hose until unconscious, and probably anally violated-just for good measure.RedRover, Trucker Paul, Ragman54 and 26 others Thank this. -
-
Then stripped naked and handcuffed to the "trucks enter here" sign
RedRover, morpheus, roll_tide07 and 3 others Thank this. -
Eternal dam nation. Lake of fire, the whole nine.
You've disrespected your company, your truck, the FMCSR, the state of Washington, and the trucking industry as a whole.misterG, Bean Jr., roll_tide07 and 2 others Thank this. -
It's private property. You can sit there, drinking beer and driving 1000 hours in 6 days and never ever be in violation.
now if you put a wheel outside onto a Public Highway... just one wheel.. VIOLATED!!!!!
Sleep easy tonight. You earned it.Bean Jr., bottomdumpin, MidWest_MacDaddy and 2 others Thank this. -
Just a word of advice, contact your log manager/dept and let them know what happened. They can go in and verify your story with the gps tags and make the necessary changes for you. Your log system will do a log update and you'll have to approve the logs
MidWest_MacDaddy, x1Heavy and akfisher Thank this. -
This is exactly the neutering of the professional Trucker I hate. All those alarms and bells and whistles to beat said professional into abject terror and submission. All that talk about safety in sleep and rest out the window as they cling to the vent system with one eye on everything that moves until the sun rises again.
Thank god I did not stay on the road long enough to see and experience this machine telling me what I can and cannot do. He he he.
With that said on a more serious note, Ive been looked at really hard before by a DOT Officer at the end of 70 hours with roughly 32 minutes to go and was told if I was anywhere south of the PA NY State line for the next 48 hours I will be crucified as a example for all.
And you wonder why I took refuge in a truckstop near canada and the only rig on the lot for two days with nothing to do but sleep, eat and scratch itches induced by showers.Derailed, bzinger, toss009 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Don't worry about it. I've never heard of this private property garbage. If you didn't go 15 minutes over most safety departments wouldn't blink an eye.
What happen was you were probably low on your 14 or 8 hr clock and the off duty didn't stop the clock.bzinger, Dave_in_AZ and akfisher Thank this.
