I would not pass the medical to get a CDL. Is there any way I can still get the CDL?

I have to ask if it has never presented as a problem how could you have been diagnosed with it?

As far as I am concerned there are tons of people that suffer from delusions, most of them become highly paid politicians...you may want to look into that instead of truck driving! LOL

This. LOL atleast you would have a defense in a court.

You know, psychosis really can mean just about anything. We are truckers, not shrinks. With the info you have given, even a certified shrink wouldn't be able to answer your question.

Most everyone has some type of "psychosis," if you want to call it that. I'd prefer to think of it more as "being human."

Since you are probably the worst one to be able to actually judge your own mental state, you probably should be talking with a psychologist or psychiatrist. If you are already under professional care, be guided by what they suggest. That is IF YOU CAN GET THEM TO SUGGEST ANYTHING. . .

    Good luck with this.

    basically consult the experts
us truckers are pschycotic but we cant diagnose psycosis
also lots of bad info on here as in ALL CO GET THIER OWN DOT PHYSICAL
all companies do not I got mine at school 2 year medical card all that happened at trans am was a urine screening for drugs. 2 of our class failed that because of undisclosed prescription meds

The Op never elaborated about their "psychosis"...

It seems posters don't understand what psychosis -- aka "psychotic" means; psychosis is integral to severe mental illness (schizophrenia, bipolar), and most often means disturbances with reality, hallucinations, etc...

I wouldn't want a semi driver, to suddenly think I was satan driving a 93 Civic on the highway; and believe God told him to crash into me, which would in turn save the world from damnation...

There are different types of psychosis also, he might think he is better than everyone else, ya know delusions of grandeur...that doesn't make him dangerous it would make him an ahole.:biggrin_2559:
