Wow, that brings back memories... I suppose US-30 is also shut down? Sometimes, when I used to regularly run that stretch, US-30 would still be open in some areas. Kinda surprising to see that Elk Mountain isn't as bad as other places in the forecast... that stretch of I-80 around Elk Mountain could get BAD in the winter. I've spent more than one day or night riding out a storm in Wyoming... high idle, heater cranked, time to catch up on some sleep, lol.
I liked Wyoming...............................Only rolled I-80 a few times, Denver thru the woods to I-80 to SLC turn(s). SUMMER only. - - - - - - I like this part of the wyoroad.info as presented in Post 1: Parking On The Roadway Is Prohibited and Delays WYDOT From Opening The Road. Are those Pictures Of Vehicles Actually Parked On The Roadway?? I've never seen such, even in older Truckin' pictures. Thanks!!
Yeah I have a friend who is a deputy here who absolutely hates getting called out to make trucks move off the shoulders. He wants to know where they expect them to go when every lot in town is jam packed.
Supposed to be closed until at least Monday sometime..Also a section of I-90 around Sheridan. Had to drop a booked load going to WA this morning.. I’m a little bummed out about giving it up since it was a good money tight schedule load. Unfortunately there was no way I could cover 1,800 miles in 3 days on snow and ice. Got a 3.00 per mile KC to Vegas..another tight schedule but I’m losing two days sitting the weekend scratching my butt.
