If you are local, you done good. I was thinking you were OTR, and just passing by shop. That is part of your job, making sure trailers are ready to roll.

Ok here is what I know, having a few trailers like that, if the bottom rail is pushed in farther than 12 inches from the edge of the trailer, it is a violation, if it isn’t beyond that 12 inches, then it is still legal. From the picture, the structural integrity can’t be determined but just the bottom rail appearance it is good to go as long as it is under 12 inches.

Ok fleet owners could make stuff up to . Theres alot of misinterpretation of the rules because of drivers giving their own opinion of something...see it alot in flatbed , even with simple rules.... Not saying hes wrong just saying id like to see the regulation on it
