I run I 80 through WY pretty regularly in winter time and there's always someone in a big hurry. I just smile and wave when they pass. I'll still be smiling and waving when I pass them in the ditch 30 mins later.
Ice and snow take it slow...

My last trainer and the best I had out of the 4 trainers I had.. had a saying and he would say it all the time... to the point where it almost got on my nerves... and now that I am solo, I find myself saying to myself..
When we were driving in snow and ice, through n the mountains or on a curvy road, heck even on off ramps.. he would say... "you go too slow as an many times as you like.. but too fast only once!!"
He would also add that he wohld rather be on the other side of the storm, mountain or curve and wonder if he could of gone faster then to be stuck in it in a ditch or accident wishing he had gone slower...
He was a great guy with a lot of sayings.. but, they were annoying ro hear over and over... but they stuck with me and have helped me.... -
Who took the video down and why, OP? That was posted 3 hours ago, very suspect. If it was you that made that video, okay no problem. We live and learn, you're trying to learn. For curiosity I wanted to see it any many others do too. It's something we can all learn from.
-
Can you guys watch the video? It says no longer avail
-
I suspect it did not quite garner the admiration of "driving skill" expected... but, who knows...? -
Well.. I would not want a video of me driving like that where my company could see it... hate to be called into the safety guys office and see it plahing on nis computer..
gpsman and Tonythetruckerdude Thank this. -
Shhhh
Quit talking bout that snow crap.
Its done.
Not gonna happen anymore.
(4th week saying this.) -
Only posted six hours ago and the video is already removed....
Who else want to watch it? -
I think gpsman is rignt... I think the OP is the driver of the truck passing everyone and didn't get the response they wanted...
But I hope they do take them in and realize how risky they are being.. I know I would rather learn by unfavorable responses the by having an accident.
Don't Learn Safety By Accident....Tonythetruckerdude Thanks this.
