I drive a KW T700 and the last two nights the ice buildup on the antennas has been causing the antennas to swing eradically and hit the top of the truck as I go down the road. It's incredibly loud and it stresses me out. Any tips, please? The antennas on the T700 are mounted near the top of the cab so reaching the top of the antennas requires about 10 foot long instrument.![]()
Ice on antennas driving me nuts. Please help.

Stay in a warmer climate. Ice is natural makes the antennas swing sideways. Remove ice prior to driving. Might help for a while.

I never have this problem
mountaingote and austinmike Thank this. -
Happens to me a couple times a year in a Cascadia. Heck of a sound!
Thought about coating them with something but it only happens when the conditions are just right. Stop and remove the ice is what I end up doing. -
Looks like they are mounted on the side of the cab. Freightliner has the same issue. I don't think steel whip antennas swing as bad as fiberglass.

I suppose stop every so often and shake it off.you can't stop mother nature.
