:biggrin_2553: Cry me a river. Why would we want to get on a show and and do stupid trucker tricks? I hope and pray that the general public can see through all the BS of the show and I hope that they know that they're are professional men and women drivers out their that don't act like a cry baby ticking time bomb bully with blue hair driving a dangerous weapon that is an inch of their bumper. And now they do not represent a true professional driver not the way most of them act script or no script. I don't need to prove anything so I will not be contacting Hollywood.

You look back and others before Dave had to go with trainers and they did it and moved on. I have never driven on the Dalton or in Alaska or on the ice roads but I wouldn't have problem running with another driver that had and I would also treat him or her with respect and listen and learn.

Yes Dave's attitude and being unprofessional on the show made him a loser. Load count that is just something that makes trucking look like a contest and to me is stupid. I don't need to make any you tube videos and try to get on a stupid reality show. I have seen some of his you tube videos and what he did in some is one of the biggest problems with truck drivers these days, bitzh and complain and blame everyone else for your problems. We all run into road blocks and obstacles everyday and we have to find a way to overcome these and move on it doesn't look like Dave can accomplish that. I am glad he didn't get on the show a year earlier and wished he would get off the show know.

I am happy for American Trucker and hope he makes it big in reality TV but I won't be asking for his autographed photo either.

I am sure YOU will not be contacting Hollywood :biggrin_2559:
And I think the general public who doesn't know &*$@ about real trucking will not see through all the BS.... and that's why I would like to see more drivers in this or another truck reality type of show.

There in lies your problem. This job is not really that hard or exciting. Yeah we get traffic delays, bad docks, the occassional XXX show on wheels, but for the most part this job if shown as is would be as interesting as watching an insurance salesman at his desk.

Remember the reality show a few years back about the family that run a funeral home? I thought that was about as low as you could get but they still keep coming up with more crap on TV like " I didn't know I was pregnant" who watches this crap. Quality TV shows are going bye, bye and I have seen 70's porno movies have better acting then some of this crap now days.

    Heres a spoiler......Its fake.

Its nothing more than a reality show. The producers think in order for anybody to watch it, the characters have to bicker and have extremely dramatic moments. Plus, they are all 2 seconds away from death (according to the show) That show could make fueling a truck look like the most dangerous thing on the planet.

    Fake and unwatchable.

Hate to tell you this but, 80 percent of drivers in this country are trailer trash with criminal records a mile long, filthy garbage that comes to trucking because this is the only industry in the country that will let you go to work everyday looking like a filthy pig.

Don't believe me, next time your pulling a 34 hour reset, sit in your truck and play a little game called COUNT THE TRASH. It's real easy, everytime a driver gets out and head in to the truckstop, right down whether or not he looks like trash or neat and professional like you said.

Keep score for about 2 hours and see which group is in the lead. Out of 200 drivers maybe 40 look professional, the rest you don't know if their drivers or homeless or lot lizzards or the guy who cleans the restrooms at the truckstop. As far as attitudes, just about everybody today is irritable and if their not they are on prozac or some other mind altering medicine, just a product of the times in which we are living.

If I had a shipment that had to get there, no excuses, no matter what, Hugh Roland and Dave Redmon would be my choice because it will get there, it will get there quick and on time. Some of these so called professionals might look clean and neat, alot of them can't drive a stobb up a horses hind end and if anything on the truck goes wrong, their screwed. Hugh and Dave fixed all kind of things themselves, without help or proper tools. Experienced truckers with alot of know how. Attitude I can live with, not gettin the job done, I can't but thats just me.

Jackson, I agree with the top part of your last post COMPLETELY, I sat at the pilot off the 422 exit on I79 in PA the other day and it was full of it. Truck drivers so fat they gotta wear sweats and cut them into shorts, so lazy they feel the need to wear pajama's through the truckstop and apparently most of them slept in because once they were behind the wheel they were driving through the truckstop like the Daytona 500, SLOW DOWN people are trying to walk through those lots, it doesn't make you look cool in your big company P.O.S flying through the parking lot...
