Ida is packing 150 mph winds,making it a high-end Category 4 hurricane. Gulfport,Mississippi is already reporting flooding (undoubtedly due to the storm surge).

Looks like it’s tracking right to Tennessee, west of Nashville. Same area that got hit last week with flash floods. News said they have 10k line workers ready to go. 10k? Must have been a mistake? I have no idea. That’s a lot of workers.

I’m in Rome,Georgia right now and the outer bands of the storm are out here. So far no rain or wind-yet…
Oddly enough even with the traffic passing by
the air is eerily quiet and still…
Takes the phrase “the calm before the storm” to a whole new level. -
