I saw a 3406 in an R Model Mack. Mentioned to the owner how much work that had to have been. He said no work. My dad special ordered it from the factory.
If that can be done in an R Model a 4070 should be no problem. Just bring the cash and wait.Last Call Thanks this. -
Ran a Superliner with a B model Cat. Much more truck than the other Superliner, with a 400 Mack. Big difference in engine size between the two.

Those were no problem. Even that big V8 Mack would fit under those hoods. Probably took 4 shoe horns to get one in an R Model.

That really is nice. Does it have the 12 speed?BoxCarKidd Thanks this.

Inboard drums do suck. But it makes you check the bearings and repack them, if grease. Or at least look them over. Rather than just pull drum slap shoes on and roll. Most trailers with semi fluid grease never get checked. Bearings burn up. Or dumb ### drivers are to ####ing lazy to hit the hubs with a temp gun occasionally during transit. Or at very least check hub oil.Crude Truckin' Thanks this.

They had the regular R600 and the R700 which was the extended hood. The 700s look sweet. Back in the day you could order any color engine you wanted in a MackBoxCarKidd Thanks this.
