Hi I have a buddy wanting to sell me a 1990 kw tractor with a 3406 cat in it. I am aware of the peec engines but never messed with one. This engine has an inline pump that looks a mile long throttle shaft is at the very rear. Also has several round multi pin electrical connectors on it. I assume this is a peec engine but didn't know if this was just related to cruise control maybe. Thanks

If it's a PEEC it will have electronic throttle. I if it's mechanical it will have a rod from peddle to pump.

It's possible it was a PEEC and changed over to a manual. All cruise I seen on the manuals was air operated

Most PEEC conversions the harness is just left on the block and truck, easier than digging it out and risk damaging a sensor wire for the truck.
