I was listening to Dave Nemo on Tuesday and a driver called up and told Dave he had two accidents in truckstops in the last two months and was asking Dave if they would be on his DAC report. He said the accidents were his fault (ran into other trucks in the parking lot) but he was fixing to quit and looking for another job and didn't want the new company to find out. Then some other drivers were calling in giving him some advice if they do show up on DAC how to work to get them off his report.
What I don't get is the idiot driver had two accidents or incidents what ever you want to call them and did damage and cost his company money and he is wanting to move on and not tell his next employer about them. I thought when you filled out an application you had to be truthful and he is worried about them being put on his DAC report. The new company is going to call and verify his work history for the last three years and they may find out that way. What needs to happen is someone needs to slap the hair lip off of him and takes his CDL away until he is smart enough to understand he is driving a big truck and not a bumper car.

Stems from the modern lack of enforcement. People have been allowed to tear up others property for so long without consequence they believe they can not be held responsible.
Same as posters on here wanting to find out how to expunge DUI or the 5 speeding tickets, or I only rolled it a little.
Actions should have consequences but that wouldn't be fair to the feeble so we lower the standards so everyone can work. -
The driver feels like he deserves a better company...
Its his right.....I mean its constitutional....
How does one have accidents in truckstops any way? In my short 9 years, not 1.....not even close -
Now you're stretching it a bit. 9 years? And you can't answer that question?

I sweat bullets until the holes on BOTH sides of me have someone parked in them. Cuz I know, the chance of getting hit while parked is much much higher now, than it has ever been.
I sat in a Loves last Monday, watching one driver after another attempt a pull through....and fail. The lot was too tight for that particular spot. But, it was wide open if the driver wanted to go around and back in. -
I'm still not happy with the fact that if you are sitting legally parked and that bozo hits my truck, I get a non-preventable accident on my record. I don't think the victim of the assault should have a record at all.

There is no constitutional right to a job or a better one. There is no constitutional right to be deceptive.
People sure do confuse need and right.Big John, LandShark and Jarhed1964 Thank this. -
I think companies do it to track people that park in compromising positions. The Government doesn't track them that I know of. Well minor I guess Reportable accidents are when they require a tow??

Don't you hate when you take the hard spot between two trucks, just to know that you won't wake up to violent shaking and seeing a trailer on top of your hood, only to have the guy next to you pull out 15 minutes later.
Everyone is entitled to APPLY for a job if they are remotely qualified, no one is entitled to GET the job. -
It was a joke for crying out loud.....
-
You got it....
No when to say, "I will pass that spot up"
