Only pull the red button out while you park. Give that a shot. Could also try setting the cruise, sometimes that disables auto shutdown. Maybe rest something against the clutch just enough to push the switch. Or the fuel pedal just a touch down. Anything to trick the ECM will do it. Or you could somehow get the ECM setting changed ....................

Currently have a stick wedged between the seat and fuel pedal

In my 2013 Volvo, when the Idle Shutdown light/message comes up (about 30 seconds before shutdown), depressing either the brake or clutch pedal for about a second will disable the shutdown, and the display will indicate so.
If I move the truck more than about 10 feet, the shutdown will reset, and I have to do the bypass again.
Your company may have had the computer programmed to not allow a bypass, or use something else. -

One thing to consider. .. some companies frown upon bypassing the idle shutdown... and if you are on qualcomm or some e log that also tracks performance then they will know you are bypassing it in some manner...
We have had drivers placed on a safety hold and had to get with safety and written up for bypassing the idle shutdown. ..
I know that is the summer if I park my trucks fro t end close to a building or to the trailer in front of me the heat of the engine against the trailer or building will make the temperature read high enough so the idle shut down does not occure... -
When message pops up on dash. Press cruise controll button up up down and it will turn idle shut off off
-
He means to set the trailer brakes only, while leaving the tractor brakes released.

Set the trailer brakes then hit the cruise control to idle it up. Be warned though; if you have a regen engine, idling will cause the egr valve to clog up and the regen system will be working over time.
-
if it is your truck you can get the ECM reprogrammed to idle more,, if a company truck check with them,
