More of your tax money down the drain. Did any truck driver think it would work? I did not.

It would have been a good idea. If they gotten larger parking lots from jump street.

Keeping your prices "just" below the cost of fuel, then hiring 4 people per shift to do nothing. Doesn't seem to be the ideal business model if you ask me.

10 hrs times ...whatever the rate is now. Is more than some motel rooms charge now. I'd rather do a motel room myself. It has hot and cold running water...and the bed is bigger.

Problem is, they are overpriced. They did basically the same thing Park-N-View (remember those yellow bollards?) did. They expanded too fast and charged MORE than the service was worth. What is going to happen next? Are the truck stops going to take over the service?
What IdleAire SHOULD do is discontinue the extras, like TV, internet and phone service. Those options are FAR overpriced for the value they offer. Additionally, it is a pain in the butt to hook the TV up to their units (CATV AND electric) Then they should lower their price to make their service
    competitive and attractive.

no...the problem is that 90% of those spots are taken by drivers who have no intention of USING it. The people that do want to use are stuck in places without it.

Ive seen it time and time again....most drivers are to lazy or scared to back into a spot and would rather be an ##### and pull though an idle air spot

    i agree with t2k

there are always alot of folks parked in the spots but not using the service, and at times have been forced to find a spot that did not offer the service i wanted....after all, at $1.78/hr (fleet association discount) it is cheaper for me to use it than to run my truck

they should make it to where you hook up or move out...your choice

they used to in the very beginning...but as mentioned, when you have four teens or idiots running the place that want to do nothing but talk on the cell phone while cruising in a golf cart or sit in the shack on the computer, who is to enforce it?

IdleAir, to me, is just another one of those good ideas that got all mucked up somewhere between planning and implementation. Between the pricing and the lack of service, to the fact that they take 50 parking spots and replace them with 30 I/A slots......:biggrin_25513:

and the excuse of "im out of hours and cant move".....horse hockey...you shouldnt have parked there in the first place...now go back yer hiney in the spot i would have to take instead of one im willing to pay for!
