last week i was in fontana, i looked into the I/A THING, then i compared the cost of a motel.

i chose the the motel, it was only slightly more expensive and i could have all the convenience's of home.

    it worked for me.

you have the right idea. If ya need the space then use it, just be polite(Not to idle aire, rather your fellow drivers) and respect the no idle policy.

whatever stud, think your so much better than me?

I wasnt directing that directly at YOU, just the fact that your complaining you cant park in the front all the time so you can get to the buffet quicker.

they have handicap spots in almost every truck stop ive been too. I have a handicap sticker myself, although i hardly use it. im 6 foot 190 myself so i have no issues with walking. your the one with the commments of "i dont wanna park in the back"...we all do , comes with the job. Get over it.

I could care less what you think of me pal...and i own a truck with my lady, we don't own a trailer, and to tell you the truth we are having a blast and making 10x what i made in the military. I don't need your respect or your opinion, ive earned the respect of the people i wanted to, and im not loosing sleep over your whining. This is an internet forum, not a social club...why wanna vote me out the "click"? Waah! Infractions? I didnt read the rules and called another member something less than nice, not used to such a moderated forum. I got 1, not 3, and i hardly post here...so what.

As far as people cant help the shape there in??? If your handicap and have legit reasons, i understand. It happens. IF your walking around in sweat pants because you cant get jeans or slacks in your size, you cant see your feet, you have to get a running momentum start to get in your truck, and your first in line at them buffets getting your $10 worth, you deserve it and i dont feel the least bit sorry for any of them. Had the parked away and maybe did a little walking in their day may have not been a problem ehh?

And i hope you dont come to SC, one less of YOU to deal with when im sitting on the beach.

Hell this was an discussion about idle air...what the hell happened...? If you dont like em, dont park in them, why not go to the pickle parks and clog them up so i have no where to park and piss at night??

Well, if they stopped EXPANDING faster than the profits allowed, they wouldn't be in so much trouble.

What they need to do is this:
    1. Only have 2 people per shift (1 to run, 1 to stay at the booth)
    2. Charge people who don't use the service some money to park there
    3. CONTROL the spending.
With 37 million in income, there's no reason they can't be profitable. They simply have to stop building so fast, and reduce the workforce.

As for the people parking and not using the service.. I have done this. Many times you will pull into a truck stop at the end of your shift and find the only spots left are idle-aire spaces. I am a company driver and it doesn't make sense for me to pay them, I don't get re-imbursed for it. I have used it at times, when I don't feel like idling, and it's uncomfortable to not idle. I also never idle in a no-idle zone, except for a 5 or 10 min warm/cool session every few hours if needed.

Charge me $5 to park there for 10 hours when I don't actually hook up. I would gladly pay that if they're the last spots open. That would also be a re-imbursable expense, since it's a parking fee and not a service fee.

Since they dont actually own the "spot" they are in they cant charge to park there. That is the same reason they cant run off someone thats not using it. The truckstop wont let them.
