What do you do when you file for bankruptcy? You raise your rates of course.
I had $10 left on my card that I thought I would use up before they shut down completely. Shocked to find out that they went from $1.76 an hour to $2.46 an hour. No wonder they are going away. Not to mention, they don't charge any extra to make my truck smell like an Asstray. Glad we will soon get those parking spots back.![]()
IdleAire? What do you do?

Oh and BTW, at their current rate of $2.89 an hour x 24 hours=$69.36+tax.
I will stay in the Best Western first. -
Yes, they raised their rates effective June 1, 2008. The new rates for silver members is 2.89 per hour and the gold members are 2.45 per hour. I assume that taxes will be added to these rates per hour.
Basically they have gone from 1.25 an hour to almost double in about four years time. Our ComfortPro apu looks better and better each day.
Just do the math. At 10 hours each day, it would cost $8,942.50 at the gold member rates, with no relief to the costs. You just keep paying year after year after year. It is more cost effective to buy an apu in the long run. I believe Lease Corp. of America will let you lease a TriPac with no money down. This takes the bite out of the scary upfront costs. -

I will bet someone takes over Idle Air or they will just tear it all down....what has anyone heard ????
-
Far as I'm concerned, they can tear it all down. It aint gonna hurt my feelings none. I dont use 'em, aint gonna miss 'em.
-
I just saw a show on tv tonight about 'em...your right, its cheaper to get a room!
-
Captjack im with you on that. I remember when they first set up.. I was like ????? I never used them, never will. How much truck parking was lost because of them.
-
Not to mention the smell of Cigarette smoke that has permanently implanted itself into the plastic head units.

According to thedeal.com, the Delaware bankruptcy court has approved sales procedures for the auction to take place on July 3, 2008. Idleaire Acquisitions, who comprise 60 % of their senior secured lenders, is the stalking horse bidder. If no other competing bids are placed, then Idleaire Acquisitions will acquire the assets for 10 million.
Now, I don't know if the banks are going to try to keep the business going or just liquidate the assets, but to have a $93 million net loss for 2007, I fail to see how it will be feasible to restructure. I guess we'll wait and see.
