am i the only one that noticed it is his batteries and not the idling is the problem?

 

I noticed. But you beat me to the punch.

When all 4 of my batteries are up to snuff I can run my CPAP, fridge and cooling fan for 8-10 hours and not drain the batteries to the point the truck won't start.

 

If you own the truck there is no reason not to get one. 900ish on fleabay. Burns less then half a gallon per night on max. @ $4/gallon the idleing truck burns $40/night in fuel. The bunk heater burns $2 in fuel. If your not a company driver, there is no excuse to not have a bunk heater.

 

I just never worried about it. I think I run the truck over night about 1 or two times a year.

 

But how many nights a year are you uncomfortable do tot he cold, but dont run do to not wanting to waste money. The bunk heater allows you to remain comfortable more without sacrificing money.

 

Actually not many.

 

Payback time is only 24 nights or 240 hours.
