why don't I get "credit" for all the time I set and don't idle the truck? Your idle % is the percentage of time that the motor's running but the wheels ain't turning, basically. So the only way to "turn down" your high idle % is to drive, correct? So the time that you set and suffer only goes to not raise your % even higher, and you really get no credit for it. What a crock of crap.
Okay, rant over....
They look at your not idling as being a team player and taking one in the kester to maintain the viability of the trucking company.
They would view you as wanting to be compensated for doing something you should be more then glad to do as selfish.
Even though they don't really see you as a valued member of the team by making sure you are comfortable at work. They want you to act like it when it comes to you saving them money,

I worked at Crete over 8 years they always put it back on the driver eveything is made to look like its your fault I got into it with Leo in Tifton and quit back in 2005 now I'm glad since they have cut trucks back to 62 Crete used to have a lot of respect for drivers but no more But then not many companies do anymore, the president of Crete is a joke!

I worked for 2 companies that had apu's and in the summer noway it will keep you cool you will burn up and in the winter you are too hot or too cold but maybe they will improve. I seen a Crete last week with a apu on it so they may be trying them out as the Crete way try it for 2 years then maybe go with it.
