That's a good reason to live in south of the mason dixon line. They'll be the last states to do it most likely. Too many poor boys running old stuff lol.

I hope it never happens, at least not in my lifetime. There's nothing that beats a mechanical diesel - if you can get the engine to turn if you can Coast down the hill, jump your solenoid, whatever, that son of a gun will keep running and running and running until you decide to shut it down.
When I read The Mechanics forum and I hear guys talking about they have a fault code they don't know what to do their engine won't run right there getting three miles to the gallon maybe a wire rub somewhere and maybe this maybe that maybe... It just gives me a massive headache. I can't imagine, and I have no intention to ever imagine what it would be like to be far from home and you have some kind of crazy stupid computer problem and now you're at the mercy of whoever. God forbid.
I have multiple vehicles with mechanical diesels, including a Volkswagen diesel, an F-350 with a 6.9 diesel, and even my lawn mower has a Yanmar diesel.
Between them and the big cams, I see no need to have anything else.

My cousin had one with an N14. I'll ask what happened to it.
There's a guy in Flagstaff with one, BC too, that's his daily work truck.
