If a road name has the word "Grade" in it, does that mean steep road?

If you mean where it specifies 4 or 5 or 6% grade, personally I don't have any rules between them. They all mean steep grade.

Just in my experience there are some less steep grades (but are long) that look deceptively benign and you dont realize until the truck keeps going faster and faster and faster... finally you are sitting up in your seat thinking... "wait a minute?"

The obvious grades are... well... obvious, and you are ready for them.

If he takes a wrong turn in intercourse he may end up at blue ball. I’ve always wonder though if fat gals lived in chunky, Mississippi. Or if anybody was happy in Moody Alabama.

I would think that "Grade School Drive" probably is fairly flat.....

It means that the road is finished and graded, the term started to be used in the late 19th century when most roads were either dirt which turned into mud or plank roads which normally were toll roads. When they started to put a base and using gravel, this became a graded or "smooth" road.

We got a small area in Rapid City, SD. Someone decided to be cute with street names.... so we got....
    Every Place
    Some Place
    No Place
Had a guy in charge of street names in Custer County, SD.
His wife's name was Lois Lane. He insisted on naming some street or road: Lois Lane. When I ran into it. It had been changed 8 times. This was the ninth. The guy had retired.
Can you believe? Dish Network is so stupidly anal. They flat out refused to believe this woman's street name was changed. They demanded she moved. But they couldn't explain how she moved to a house with the exact same five digit address.

Harpster Grade in Idaho is a decent little hill to drop down. Has some 20 and 25mph switchbacks and if you miss the last corner at the bottom it will dump you into the river.
