    I found this video on youtube. Apparently you can go ahead and take care of your truck tax now and not have to worry about it. If you're like me and like to go ahead and get your #### taken care of early then here ya go friends

    Nice tnevin225. I also learned that if you filed the return last year that it is good until June 30th which is when my plates/tag need to be renewed. I didn't even really need to pre-file but it is nice knowing I have it taken care of for a while.

    Now I can move on to other ways the IRS wants to take my money

    Reviving this thread;
    Did anyone else receive a letter from the IRS acquiring that they didn’t receive the 2290 payment? I filed mine as always thru Express truck tax 2 weeks before due date. My account shows monies were drawn, my bank says it posted on 9/9/25, the letter from the IRS was sent on 9/22/25.

    FYI, these days, you should receive stamped copy of 2290 MINUTES after it’s electronically filed. I use i2290.com and it’s been this way for almost a decade……ever since they stopped letting me file my own by myself.
