BBB is obsolete...........

It seems you have made up your mind. Just be sure to keep everyone informed, good or bad, and don't drop off the face of the earth like the 100's that ignored advice, never to be heard from again after a few weeks.

As far as the BBB is concerned, England takes care of their customers, it's the majority of their drivers they treat like poop according to the 1000's of post here and all over the web.

Perhaps because people who have actually made complaints to the BBB have found out just how useless they really are. They sell their membership to their "members" as an advertising gimmick for those businesses.

Not exactly correct. Yes, you can check the BBB website for what complaints have been filed against any company. However, those complaints "drop off" after a year. And as far as them "handling" complaints, they will forward the complaint to the company. Then the company has a chance to respond. If the company does not agree with the complainant, then the BBB sends the complainant a nice letter or email, explaining that "nothing can be done."

It is never obsolete to make money by providing a phony service. And they actually do sort of provide a service. If you check out some business and see a LOT of complaints, then you should have enough sense to go elsewhere. And since the majority of businesses are not BBB members, they really don't even try to accommodate you.

Filing a complaint with BBB is NOT filing a legal complaint. If you want to file a legal complaint, you go to some type of government agency, such as law enforcement, or a licensing agency or the Federal Trade Commission. That type of thing where you might actually SEE some action taken, or at least the situation investigated.

You are talking apples vs oranges here.

You have a totally misinformed opinion of what the BBB is all about.

Hey sunshine, even truck driver's get a break. They have a chance to relax and do what they want, including posting on this forum.

Obviously you certainly have either jumped on a band wagon, or perhaps made your own band wagon here. And that is fine. The purpose of these forums are for folks to state their opinion.

Just don't get your panties in a wad if you happen to disagree with what has been posted.

Well, if you really "don't appreciate all the finger pointing," there is no law saying you have to be here. But we (at least for the most part,) really do try to tell it like it is from what we have either experienced or witnessed.

And I can't imagine where you suddenly get the idea th Werner is any thing golden. Various shades of brown perhaps, but certainly not golden. As to SWIFT, yes we have some members who seem to be having some good experiences at SWIFT right now.

Do you suppose, by ANY remote chance, that some of the problems with SWIFT that have been brought to light on this forum, have been looked at by SWIFT management? Do you think there is just an outside chance that just maybe this forum has made a difference in the operation of this company?

I really don't know, but I sincerely hope so.

I too remember when CRE was supposed to be a great company to work for. It was one of the highly recommended companies when I went to school. Unfortunately, things change. As time goes on, management and ownership changes, companies change the way they do business in an attempt to increase their profits, or in some cases out of necessity just to stay in business. But the only thing certain in the business world, or that that matter in anything in the world is change.

Fawne I really do wish you the best of luck in whatever you do. But keep in mind that the experiences that are talked about here have happened to an awful lot of people.

 

The BBB is nothing but a money collecting organization with very little power to actually do much of anything.

Before I sold my restoration shop, I was hit up by the BBB what seemed like every quarter to join them. The only advantage to being in the BBB is getting that free Breakfast once a month than you actually paid for with your BBB dues & fees.

 

They used to be a good company...Long before most of todays drivers were born!

I don't understand where you got that Werner, Swift and some of these other bottom feeders were considered good companies by anyone...They are among the most hated companies out there.
