I gave you the data (even though you don't know the definition of data) and you can't deal with it so you stick your head in the sand.

But as you come up for air the rest of us will still be here with the same reasonable conclusion that: Americans shouldn't unnecessarily die on our highways because a small slice of class a drivers don't have the necessary skills to operate their vehicle.

    Sure no problem.

"Distraction can be classified by modality"

For what's being discussed here it would fall under the modality of "cognitive distraction".

Situations where the mental workload of translating road signs causes a cognitive distraction are avoidable and should be regulated for class a drivers.

Unfortunately for you and your math degree you don't understand classic bell curve distribution and the importance of insuring against less frequent outliers from the "tails" of the distribution.

Maybe glance over Black Swans as a solution.

When you have an actual argument why we should remove a necessary skill from class a drivers please share.

Why hasn’t the FAA and airline control and such been challenged about everyone having to speak English? Why is trucking the industry where it’s taboo to merely suggest someone should be able to communicate with others using the English language?

Pilots and ATC have to speak english. Thats been in place since day 1. Thats a world wide thing. They decided on english because of the Wright brothers.

Any reason why, maybe related to reaction time, they decided on a standard of communication?

Can you think of any reason why "world wide" they use a standard? Not why they chose english but why they thought a standard was a good idea?

If every truck driver on the planet spoke english, we wouldnt be having this "encounter" now would we?

ATCs and pilots have to speak english because planes fly to all corners of the world, so they HAD to pick 1 universal language so that a pilot from the US landing in Japan could communicate...

Really shouldnt be that hard of a concept to figure out.

So no data yet? Pity. Keep looking.
