You may or may not be aware. Yet Walmart offers roadside (in their parking lot pickup) shopping. If you know your going to be in a area. You could preorder what you need for your shopping online. Not trying to create an ad for walmart (mods). Yet a order of $30 minimum and some pre planning. A driver could look at their destination and be able to drive up at their specific time and get their groceries with out the need to park.

Even better is home delivery from a grocery store.
We have that here in our small town.
    Very easy and convenient.

I tried that. Filed a complaint with wallyworld. My truck wouldn't fit under the awning over parking for pickup. Doh!

Yeah I don't see a need for this. I usually stop at Walmart's for my mandatory 30 minute break every 4 days or so. Normally I extend that 30 to 1 hour when I stop at Walmart which includes a bathroom break as well.

Sure I could order roadside, but honestly being able to walk about in the store and actually be a part of civilization for a little bit is nice. It's good to get out of the truck when you can, not just physically but mentally as well.

For some years now, I have seen guys hang out at chain up and off areas and capable drivers shelling out 20 bucks or so to have someone chain up for them. I can see this if a guy is handicapped and can't do it himself. we have come so far as to drivers licenses that restricts a person to an auto transmission. Now we are going to need curbside service for groceries in a truck?
It is no wonder that they are working on driverless trucks hot and heavy. lol
Disclaimer, I have had pizza delivered to a truckstop before, but it was not because I didn't want to walk in. lol

That is what I told the wife when she looked up all this info. She also found that it is required they have 6 hours for whom ever to get the shopping ready for pickup. The wife likes to get stuff prior to going home from her work. She called at 2pm and they told her the order wouldnt be ready until 8pm (part of it having been a friday)
