If I add a 20k pusher can I keep 12k steer?

    The better question would be, what size are your frame rails? Are they the standard OTR frame with 40k rears? or the heavier single frame? I would assume you're not double framed. I would advise against putting a 20k on a standard OTR frame with 40k rears. You will mess the frame up eventually.

    You’ve got to be running a short neck. With a legit 60k on the drives I can still load 13k on the steer.

    I agree, 60” spacings on the truck 96” swing on the trailer 20 20 20 on the drives I’m right at 12 on the steer.

    Yep, Asking for trouble adding an axle to a truck that's not designed for such. Not only physically but legally.

    See guys doing this all the time. The only time that pusher hits the ground is before a scale.

    Something like that. In CO for instance one guy forgot to drop the pusher and was at 49 and change. They made him apply and pay for amended permits.
