So you haven't done SAP, and you haven't paid a ticket that's almost 4 years old at least? A professional truck driver needs to have a strong sense of responsibility. I'm sensing a lack of that right now. Are you sure driving is where you want/need to be? Plenty of good non driving oilfield jobs out there. Have you considered anything else?

Thank you sir. You do have a point there, i should have been trying harder by now. I guess ive just been stuck in my current situation. Im living in costa mesa california, paying $1050 for rent and only taking home $1500 monthly as a front desk clerk in a condo association. So it has been pretty hard to catch up on things. I have to admit though i kind of gave up when people told me I wouldnt be able to get another job. But now I have someone at my current job telling me that companies in North Dakota are paying drivers over 50k a year. It has given me the motivation to atleast try again because thats the only way I can see myself getting ahead. Unless I try fulltime college while working fulltime and no reliable transportation except a bike lol

I can understand being tight financially. Make sure you take care of this ASAP though. Heard too many stories of guys not paying a ticket and being ok for 5+ years, then one day at one chicken coop.....
I wish you luck, and I hope you have learned from past mistakes. You must be responsible, motivated and self starting to do this job well. That's what makes us get out in -20 weather and do pretrips instead of sitting in the cab just waiting for 15 minutes to tick away.

Might be really hard for you , even in the oil field. Trucking of any kind demands a certain amount of personal responsibility. You've shown that might be a problem for you. The ticket for running the scales was bad enough....but not finishing the s.a.p. program to start with shows you try and take the easy way out. not judging you , only making an observation from the info you posted. Pay off the scale ticket in Ga. , finish an s.a.p. program , and start looking..just be ready for more " I can't use you " responses than anything. Too many drivers out looking for work that are clean , just saying.

Have you checked to see if your license is suspended because of that ticket? I wouldn't be surprised if it is.

Are you ever going to pay that ticket or go on acting like its not a big deal? Many companies have no failed drug test ever. You didn't go thru the sapp program so I would say you're SOL.Judging from all your posts, you sound like you really don't care so I would say this field isn't for you. You're not going directly to the company and ask them questions.Only they have the answers.

Exactly! May be a warrant out for you for that one!

As far as the oil fields go,They are getting tighter on the regulations and DOT out there.
I have a buddy who moved out there a few months ago and he told me the hiring process was pretty strict.

As far as the failed drug test you need to check your DAC-HireRight report and see if the company reported it.
Then pull a copy of your MVR and PSP report. You need to know what any company will see when they do the background check on you.
As of now the drug screen labs or employers do not report failed drug test to DOT but the employer can report it to DAC and game over.

    Start by reading the rules...
