If I go buy chains, will it get me out of this whole?

90 % of the hole tire is in a a 2 or 3 in whole. I'm gonna try sand first. But I'm honestly doubting that will work.

Are you bobtail? If you have a trailer make sure the trailer brakes aren’t frozen.
Sand, kitty litter should get you out.

With what you got going there you could just lay the chains out in front of the drives you wouldn't even have to chain up ...lol.....and ease out with some kitty litter or sand too

Kitty litter to get some traction. Rock it back and forth and when you feel like you got enough swing to make it gun it and don’t stop until you’re fully out.

I'd just drape a chain over a tire on each side, lock it up and walk it out.

When you're in a deep melt hole like that, sometimes the easiest thing to do is to break up some of the ice in front and/or behind the tires. That will usuallylet you get rolling enough to pop it out. Especially if the trailer is melted through as well.

Carry some cheap nylon rope. Tie it around the tire and through the holes in wheel in four places. Some truck stops will also carry those ratchet straps with the metal teeth that do the same thing.
