Hey taz, thanks for being the only one out of all the guys I talked to that actually stood up for me to these forum bullies. I appreciate that.

So, I kept this thread up to try to help people who might take the same path that I did. I think I have helped a few through private messages and such. There is plenty of info on here and the internet in general about these jobs out here. I don't think it will make any difference whether I post here or not so I'm just going to leave it where it is. I wish you all luck if you come out here, or whatever you decide to do. If you get out here and get in a bind send me a pm, maybe I can help you out.

    warrior81 Thanks this.

If anyone else has questions for me, please PM me or contact me through another thread as I am through wasting my time on this one.

To answer your question Taz, I've only been with Nabors for 6 weeks but I know some yards will take newbies. My yard in Midland will occasionally take them. Since you're out of state, I think it would be best for you to come out here in person and speak with some yard managers face to face. I suspect that online apps for out of staters aren't given much priority. You definitely need to get your tanker endorsement before coming out here. You will most likely end up hauling water to begin with so HazMat is not essential. I got mine after I had been here for a few months. However, if you're going into frack or crude hauling you might need it first ...... there are two different schools of thought on this and I'm not sure which is best.
Send me a PM if you need more help.
