To be old and wise you have to be young and foolish first!

Well, I survived being young and foolish so far. When does the old and wise part start? Cause I'd quite enjoy that.

That long? Man, I don't think I have the patience. I'm gonna start lying about my age. After all, whenever I deal with people my own age or younger, I always feel incredibly old. Of course, when they were out drinking and screwing anything that stayed still ling enough, I was out driving big truck. Truck driving cost my twenties:biggrin_2553:.

It's not the companies fault, it's not the governments fault, it all rests on the new driver. That's with any company. Any company will either watch or put the new driver on probation because they want to see your work ethics. We hire the best of what is available to us and they still go on probation for 6 months. The more you gain experience the better your chances are getting on with a company that cares. That's the way it's worked for many of us and that's the way it should work.

If you make stupid mistakes that costs money you should be fired. Sure everyone should get one chance if it's not that bad but you make a huge dumb mistake then you just go down the road to another field. Driving a truck is NOT just going from point A to point B. You've got to learn all you can and that includes the truck itself. The truck is your money maker and you should treat it as such.
