    In this economy, this is the status quo with every employer.

    But, in trucking it's a lot more severe. Especially for lease/o-o's. Who cares if you paid all your expenses for the week if you didn't make any extra to pay yourself. That's where the problem is at.

    I am not sure if i understand what you are saying or if I just disagree....

    For O/O they ARE the business. So just as for a business that owns a truck they need to do what it takes to make a profit. Just like bad businesses go under, same with an O/O....

    They have to know how to run their business, take care of their equipment, AND pay the driver. That is why some succeed and some don't. You had just better hope that you as the driver are the best #### employee there ever was! LOL

    Like I said, I may have misunderstood what you were trying to say...if so, I apologize!

    truer words have never been spoken.
    after 14 years at my job I was tossed to the curb like yesterdays trash.
    I know guys that worked at the same place for 30 years in the same boat as me.
