Until recently, all my bosses bought were Mack's, but not so much the quality, as the dealers, the service, and the build quality (the things that you don't readily see) have really gone downhill. Now, KW is working them deals on T680's, we've got 2 daycabs and a sleeper. I am not impressed. The T680 that KW brought us to demo, Navajo spec'd truck with a large 76" sleeper, ok, it was a nice truck, but it was kind of boring too, it was gutless and the automatic was not impressive. I was forced to drive our new sleeper for a day while mine was down, and the regular driver was on vacation. That's got to be the most boring, uninspiring truck out there. The headlights vibrated, and it was obvious behind the wheel, gutless, it wanders the road, the interior is uninspiring, the only positive I can honestly give it, KW has a 56" tall roof, sadly Mack did away with theirs about 15 yrs ago. I'm going to be forced into one of these KW's later this year, I'll do it kicking and screaming.
When I first started, I drove a 10 yr old Int'l daycab that was falling apart, and it did a few months later. Then they put me in a '97 CH with a 36" sleeper, from time to time we still see that truck on the road, figure it has 2 million miles on it by now. Then came the first one they spec'd for me, '00 CH, 56" hi-rise sleeper, 350 hp, with the auto-shift. I put 978K on it, only reason they got rid of it, was it was time for something new. Then came the '09 CXU, 450 hp (WOW) backed by an autoshift, with a 42" flat top sleeper. If I crook my neck I could stand up, I lost so much space. Then in '15 they bought my current CXU, 455 hp, backed by an M-Drive. At 466K, I still enjoy my truck every day, I look forward to getting in it, if but only I had a larger sleeper.
I've driven a couple of Anthem's, did write ups on them, they are still a unique truck, like all Mack's, you don't see a lot of them on the road, although I am starting to see more and more. That design is so different from anything else on the road that it stands out, if I only could convince them to buy me one, heck, I'll even settle for a VNR Volvo, but, that KW is boring, guess it could be worse, it could be a Freightliner, Ugh. -
I’ve driven all kinds of Mack’s from a 1977 300 5 speed to a 2015 mp8.My favorite was a 2003 460xt with an 18 speed that being said they sucked compared to cats and cummins only one I seen run was a turned up e9 now that thing would run and roll some coal. The mp8 isn’t a bad motor by today’s standards it pulls good.

Drove this all over the country the first couple of years I was with McKenzie, a 2001. Plenty of power and not a bad ride. All Mack except for the Fuller 10 speed.

We have had people win a few million in the state lotto, buy a half million mansion in Howard County and then live up the hog until property taxes munched all of their money in a few years. POOF. -
B61. Look up on youtube. There are some great videos of these girls restored and still being driven by guys who know how to operate them.
