Well you have 18 million drivers and the US has over 228 million.
It isn't about remote roads or temps it's about trying to bunch up 228 million drivers -
Not to mention livestock.
-
oh, so America transports livestock further than Australia - ok then

Some of you lot live with blinkers on, and some are like Chicken Little from the kids fairy tale
401-Alex Thanks this. -
I'm not going to say much, because you have some good points. But as someone else said, we have more drivers concentrated into a smaller area. I seriously doubt anyone is trying to discredit that y'all have some tough conditions to deal with.
But we do as well. Ours are a different type of tough though. Where I usually run, speed limiters and speed limits in general are a moot point. With all the warehouses in our area, and the oodles of container haulers running their clapped out Volvo's at 50 mph on the highways with their loads of Chinese crap, you can't really run the speed limits anyway.
My biggest issue with the speed limiters is the lack of freedom to do as I please. Not that I'm gonna be doing 110 with my hair on fire all day long, but occasionally I do like to have a little fun. Keeps things interesting. -
You seem to be missing the point. Remote roads and larger trucks don’t mean much when our population is roughly 300 million larger and the land mass is roughly the same size, give or take. You have less trucks driving slow and less vehicles trying to get around the slow trucks. That’s all he’s trying to say. Don’t get so defensive.
-
I understand that your roads are far busier than ours, but wouldn't busier roads mean slower moving traffic?
Sorry for being defensive, but when you have idiots posting 'triggered' cartoons or when there are borderline personal attacks, it is kinda hard to look past that -
Not necessarily. In urban areas congestion does slow traffic down, but we have many states with speed limits of 70+ for trucks and once you’re away from cities traffic tends to move well unless there is an accident or road construction.401-Alex Thanks this.
