Hey guys. If you work for Heartland currently, PM and email me. I'm supposed to start my orientation on December 8th. I'm signing up for the Kingsport, TN regional. Hope it works out for me.
Anyway, give me a holler. I'd like to get some more info before I show up for orientation. I might have to do it in Atlanta, since the bus schedule coming into Kingsport is kinda tight. Who knows how that will be...
Looking forward to hearing from you.

I drove for Heartland for three years and I hope I never make that bad a mistake again. Maybe you will have better luck than I did
-
I run out of the phoenix yard. so far the miles suck. But I'm home every weekend. I should of stayed with my last company. Atleast I can pay my bills with the old one.

STAY AWAY FROM HEARTLAND. I drove for them out of Phoenix for 10 months, hoping things would get better. They are real scumbags to work for. They use drivers and treat you with no respect. You'll make no money, home time will be a 34 hour reset, and you'll be told you are just a steering wheel holder. Good luck if you make the mistake and go to work for them.

Did you notice it has been over a month since this post was written on? Too late to warn me now.
So far its not been too bad. Still too early to tell. Had some miles, home every weekend.
When you come into every post about a company, whether you are right or not, it makes people think you're just nuts. Say your piece once, you don't have to harp on it in every post.
I don't know yet if they are good to work for or not, thats the honest truth. Its only been a month. But, they have a lot of freight in this area and I'm home every weekend real easy. I work out of the Kingsport, TN office. -
So how is it going over there Wheat? just looking at alot of companies and was wanting to find out what its like there from someone that is there? Thanks -
I was told by my recruiter that she was waiting on my driving history to come back and that everything else looked good especially my employer references. She said as soon as she gets the MVR if its ok she will send my paperwork over to safety. Does this mean I have passed all the checks and have the job, or does safety do other checks as well. She said something about orientation and having a yes or no answer from safety in a day or two? I am on pins and needles, I really need this job. Any info will be great. Thanks.

You are most likely ok.
If you have a clean or close to clean MVR, over 1 year experiance, and no more than 3 jobs in 3 years (unless laid off from one)
They did the same to me. Took a few days, then they set up orientation. That took a few days, had a driving test at end that was easy. -
Hey CKChris
Why are you posting exactly the same thing in several threads? It is rather frustrating. -
Sorry about that CromeDome, Needed an answer real quick...
