That wasn't me, .... I've read so much and heard so much about the Prime shaft so I wanted to know how they did it.

Your guaranteed X per day but if you exceed this they deduct difference??? Your guaranteed 1.02 a mile but if it pays more they keep it? $11xx.00 a week fixed costs? And they nailed YOU for tires another cat bought??

And this is all legal? And their still in business?

    Wow!

The problem is Robert Low's legal team will shut you down before it ever get's to court, and no it isn't legal but what do you do? The only thing I can do is try to make the public aware. The day after I turned the truck in for electrical problems that almost caught it on fire they changed the oil and leased it to another unsuspecting driver. there was smoke coming from under the hood and the dash was so hot you couldn't put your hand on it. Driver safety is not an issue at Prime.

If you kill the battery switch for several hours it doesn't do it for a couple of days. After the last time I decided the truck wasn't safe to operate and they charged me $618.00 early lease termination fee.

It's a shame that people are hungry to take their career to the next level and companies take total advantage of this hunger.

Like most lessons in life most of these lease purchase programs are a very expensive lesson to learn.

People post away of their own personal tales of woe, yet one after another figure they have the answer and it won't happen to them.

I'm only interested in a company driver position from here on out and that's is what I went to Prime to do but at the end of orientation they dropped the driver pay from .45 that I was promised to .35 with no orientation pay unless I leased. So I was in a situation of no pay for eight days and I would have to buy a bus ticket home or lease. I should have just bought the bus ticket and gone home it would have saved me a lot of trouble and $6,528.00 in stolen wages.

The only person that knows the reasoning behind leasing a truck during this difficult time in society. If you knew the economy was bad, what was your reasoning behind leasing a truck with Prime. My next question to you is: What were you thinking? The dollar signs? Hate to be the one to say this, but the way the economy is right now, and in regards to the fuel cost. Now is it not the right time to buy a truck, or even lease. All I can say is best of luck to you. Do not want to sound so glib in saying you asked for it, but recruiters and the people conducting orientation must have been in car sales before they came to work for trucking companies. Hopefully you have learned a lesson from this.

It was a walk away lease and I was trying to survive. Shame on me for trying to survive and take care of my family. Maybe I should have gone on welfare and let the people with jobs take care of me and my family. Sorry I'm not one to beg from the government or anyone else.

Have you considered filing a complaint with the attorney general's office? In Washington State it seems to work wonders with companies. I am not sure about your home state, but it cannot hurt to do it and it is free. The company will have 30 days to respond to your complaint and state their case. I have used it and it helped me with a home builder that gave me the run around. A prime example was Countrywide Mortgage that got forced out of Washington due to their business practices. Unfortunately in these desparate times people get taken by snake oil sales folks and always remember that floating debris you try to reach in the ocean just might be a shark just waiting for you.

Good luck in the future and listen to your gut, that seems to help me a lot of times.
