Take your time in backing and remember to get out and look when doing so. Does not matter how many times you have to do it and don't let the gawkers get to you. Better off to get out and look a dozen times than to back over something or someone. Oh keep it under 30mph in the truck stop parking lot lol

Remember this. Classroom and slow maneuvers are nothing like the real world. Listen to whats being said because they only go through it once and barely have time to cover all questions due to lack of time in class. Be happy you'll be learning WorkFlow from the start. I learned both and they are completely different in every way, but WF makes life much easier.

Once they cut you loose it's nothing like whats in the book. Much easier! Good Luck... Be safe and enjoy your new career.

The 3 week bootcamp will seem tough, but the first few Weeks out on the road alone, especially if you encounter as many mechanical issues with the equipment as I did, will be even tougher. Just absorb as much as possible during the 3 weeks because cdl class is no where near as tough as whats to follow. Best advice once out on the road is just keep your cool and don't panic. I've had a few days in the beginning when it felt like the world hated me, but it will get better. Oh yeah, double check all navigation routes against a map and take the highway when possible and if it looks like a truck doesn't belong down that road, it probably doesn't.
