as a newbie what trucking lessons can I learn from you? What Real world tips are out there
like Winter Driving, Tricks of the Trade, Handy and Dandy Tips OTR
in fair trade I will tell you:
Use rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle to remove ice/snow without having to wait and crank up the defroster... also works on door lock (hand sanitizer is made of rubbing alcohol so it works too but you cant spray it)
If you could give your newbie self advise? What would it be??

Best advice I would give myself or anyone is, don't sweat the small stuff. I know that sounds kind of generic, but it's important. This industry throws you a lot of curveballs and you just have to roll with the punches. If you let yourself get angry or annoyed at every little thing, you will be a miserable S.o.b. long before you are ready to retire.

Ignore 98% of the "advice" on TTR and take the other 2% with a great deal of skepticism.

SOME idiots actually hang telephone, cable and power wires lower than 13'6". Sometimes it's just on the side of the road you're on that's low.
All Walmarts like truck deliveries. Most Walmarts hate trucks.
Trailer tandems will go about any place you drag them but there are some pretty strict rules about what you can drag them over and them still having air on the other side.
Sweeping a trailer out sucks. $60 for a leaf blower is money well spent.
States hand out more driver's license than they have roads for drivers.
