Simple question really, if you could live anywhere to be in the best position to get good freight in and out where would you live..?

I guess should say if you are hauling reefer, van or FB, cars ect..

Yeah Indy isnt bad but lacks terrain details for me.. I want to either see mountians or water..or both... lol although that flat is nice on the fuel mileage.

I lived in CO for about 2 years all together. I liked it out there assuming I was near the mountians but it's too #### expensive. I'm sure Montana or ND/SD might be nice and cheaper but gets cold there.. lol

Question for you; if an owner-operator haul broker freight, does it really matter where he lives?

As with just about everything, it's subjective.

    Short answer is no.

But there are certainly places where it is much more advantageous to live.

And those advantages are being in a known network of mechanics, and being able to be at home, even for a 10 like a truck stop, or better 34's, without really missing a beat.

As to the short answer, if the truck is good, and you're a road savage, then no it doesn't matter, just more perks in certain geographical locations.
