I like Prime but automatic isn't part of it.

Covenant pays teams better than Con-Way and will train you together. I think their benefits kick in sooner too. I don't remember their pet policy. Ironically, you'd probably pull more terminal to terminal Con-Way Freight loads with Covenant than with Con-way truckload. Nearby terminals in Memphis & Dallas.

Conway is testing automatics -- ~500 of their 2500 trucks are autoshift. Nearby terminals in Memphis, Dallas, & Joplin.

We will start school June 1st and finish Jul 2nd is the plan..

We could go now! All we would have to do is find someone to take care of the kids. :biggrin_2552:

Just a little advice, because I had a "buddy" that used to be on here that thought he knew it all before he even got out of,school. This job is going to suck, we're in it,for the money. Don't let silly details cost you hundreds of dollars a week. There's plenty of dumb ol rednecks in here, but some people actually do give good advice.
If a pet is your biggest concern, consider quality of life in a truck, both for you and him. Is it really smart to bring him? Is it smart enough to go with a company that doesn't allow dogs if you make 20 to 30% more income?

All that aside, check out crete/Shaffer. They have team runs, no autos, a pet policy starting January and a great pay rate, very professional company to work for.

What I've read/herd good things about Marten and Crete/shaffer. Add Allied auto transport they give condos if you run team. All your poll companies are megas that more likely to pay lower and treat you like dirt.
