If you don't have a car . . .

3 hours of driving just to get to where other drivers start their day. I am appreciative of the fact that they let me deadhead that far every week.

the used car market is downright silly. i am looking to replace my dd. i have never bought a new car. i refuse to pay the inflated prices for used vehicles so a new car purchase is where i'm currently sitting.

i'm mechanically inclined, id much rather buy something needing attention. but even i have standards and i'll never own a mid 90s cougar or 10-15-20 year old full size suv lol

 

My standards are : comfortable , easy to work on and repair and service , under $8k , 4wd so I can get to the hunting shack and room for hauling lumber and appliances and bags of cement , and towing my 8 or 10 or 18 foot trailers.



Mrs Roundhouse is a different story .
She wants : small, sporty ,manual transmission, pain in the neck to work on.

her first car was a chevy cavalier 5 speed , followed by a Mitsubishi eclipse 5 speed , 98 beetle turbo 5 speed, 2001 beetle turbo 5 speed , 2009 Mini Cooper turbo 6 speed .
