I wish we could bobtail. We are not allowed to under any circumstances unless it's for a load. So if we have a 34 OTR, no bobtailing, walk (if there's actually sidewalks or grass cut low enough) or Uber are the only choices.

Nice idea that. I hired a car in Merced and went up to see the giant Sequoias, they were amazing.

Every American should see Yosemite Valley at least once in their life.

From 1979 through 1984 I made an annual pilgrimage to "Mecca" as rock climbers referred to "The Valley". This pilgrimage would commence around mid to late April and last to about mid June. This was the prime time to climb the big walls: Half Dome, El Capitan, Leaning Tower, Sentinel Rock, etc.

Most climbers stayed at the Sunnyside camp ground. Often in the evening we would go to the meadow below El Capitan with binoculars or telescopes to check on the progress of our friends on their climbs, or just to bask in the glow of tourist attention.

    "Oooohhhh! You CLIMBED THAT!???"

    "Yup".

"But...how do you go POTTY up there!!!???"

    "Just let it fly, mam."

An I thought peeing off a deck was a exciting. ;)

Chalk up another idea to the "Weird things to do" bucket list.

I can't say I've been to Yosemite, but I do agree on visiting the parks, wherever they may be...their pretty #### cool in my opinion. The ones I've been to at lest.

I know I know, people got better things to do. Just weird to me to just ignore such history, beauty, knowledge, etc right in front of them or around them. ;)

Different strokes, for different folks I reckon.

Some things to do(Don't do them..seriously), when in the wilds...

If it's black, fight back (although black bears can be as light as cinnamon)
    If it's brown, lie down
    If it's white, goodnight!

I agree on seeing the parks. Go out of your way to see Grand Canyon. You'll never forget it. Glacier National Park is awesome. Of course what already mentioned.

I've always used PC miles when needed. Most of the time don't go anywhere. But sometimes...

I had a three day sit over Memorial Day weekend at our own terminal. Inconsiderate leaving me like that without anything else. I had the time to keep running. So... I went to Cabelas. 13 miles one way. Put note on the log: Went to Cabelas, Out to eat, wally world... and probably to the gym later tonight. ... Safety didn't like it. They're insecure. I know DOT don't have no problem with that. I thought about making a note: 150 Cabelas club points on my credit card. They were seeking Safe Refuge. Had to give them a ride to Cabelas.... DOT would have been amused.
